“你……”

没等对方说完,菲尔抢话道:“现在轮到你听我说了,我是不会给钱的。按我说的做,今晚午夜之前把我妻子放了,否则我会拿出双倍的钱要你的命。你的同伙为了200万,让他们杀亲妈都会愿意的。”

“你知不知道你在说什么,你妻子随时会没命的。”

菲尔笑道:“我不这么认为。你不可能得逞,希望你明白这一点。”他看了一眼手表,“今晚午夜之前必须把我妻子送回家,不要再哆唆。否则我就出200万要你的命。你愿意赌一把吗?”

“听着,伙计,我是在和你谈交易——”

“我也是,朋友。你不觉得这200万立马就会让你的同伙反水吗?其实我出l00万就能买通他们,你的命不值钱。”

一阵沉默。

菲尔换了一只耳朵听电话,并坐了下来,等待对方答复。

“现在我挂断了。我希望你住得不算远,以便l2点之前能把她送回家。”菲尔又看了一眼手表,继续说道,“现在是6点。祝你过得愉快。”

他挂断电话,把手机放进口袋。接着从沙发上站起来,伸了伸腰,走进厨房。他的妻子玛吉正忙着把烤肉从烤箱里取出来。

“正要喊你吃饭呢。”她把烤肉放在餐桌上,随口问道,“谁打的电话?”

菲尔拿起餐刀,削下一片薄薄的烤肉片,放在盘子里,轻描淡写地说:“打错号码了。”
